1 Corinthians 9:24- Know ye not that which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

Let's run the race of being healthy. We can be victorious and get the prize if we don't give up. Yes we may fall down but get back up. You can do this, and the best thing of all we don't have to do it in our strength. God will uphold us with his hand,just ask him today for help. He will be our strength and refuge.

Weighing In

Well I didn't lose any weight when I weighed in this morning. I won't lie it was very discouraging, didn't even want to post. But the purpose of this blog is to be open and transparent about the struggles of weight loss. I've made a decision I'm not going to weigh myself on a scale every week. I was reading an article that's it's better to measure yourself using a tape measure then weigh yourself on a scale. It can be more accurate, for example you can lose inches and it won't necessarily show up on the scale. So I going to buy a tape measure. I think I'm also going to keep track of my measurements on a graph. So stay tune!

What's Weighing You Down?

Can we talk? I was doing so well in losing weight last year. I lost 78 pounds. Can't believe I gain back 28 pounds of the 78 pounds I lost last year. I won't lie at first I wanted to get really upset but decided to use my energy instead for motivation. One thing I know that has been my downfall is eating fast food. I need to get back to cooking meals at home. It's easier to pick up something to eat on the way home instead of cooking. So I'm going to start preparing ahead and do my cooking on the weekends for my meals during the week. The funny thing is I prefer my cooking anyway.(smile) I also need to exercise. Okay I want to hear from you, what's been weighing you down?

Join me in letting go of past hurts and unforgiveness. It's too heavy for us. God has his hand open to receive it. I'm learning the inner reflects the outer. Weighing In

My current weight is 280. I have gained back 28 pounds of the 78 pounds I lost last year. Instead of feeling like a failure I choose to see this as motivation to get back on track though with prayer and determination. Pray for me, ok? I will be praying for your success too. We are in this fight together. We can do this!
